The Razer Blade 15 is one of the best gaming laptops on the market right now, and its spec sheet only makes it more impressive. The chassis itself is made of anodized aluminum and features an illuminated backlit keyboard that allows you to adjust its brightness depending on your surroundings. It runs on Intel’s 8th-generation processors and its battery can last anywhere between seven and 12 hours, depending on your settings and usage.
Processor and Graphics Card
The Razer Blade is a gaming laptop that’s designed to be portable and powerful. Whereas has an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H CPU with six cores. Furhter, makes it one of the most powerful laptops available right now. Moreover has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6 GB of VRAM for high-resolution gaming. When plugged into the power supply, gamers will have access to additional overclocking features. Also programs that can help them get more out of their hardware.
It has 16GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM, so you’ll have plenty of memory to handle multi-tasking tasks like streaming or running virtual machines on your machine. You’ll also have access to dual storage drives – 256GB PCIe M.2 SSD plus 1TB HDD.
It has all of its ports on either side so that you don’t have to reach behind your laptop. This makes it perfect for gaming while plugged into an external monitor.
RAM and Storage
If you’re looking for more than the standard 8GB of RAM, the 15-inch model has 16GB (upgradeable to 32 GB). While the 17-inch model has a whopping 32 GB (upgradeable to 64). The 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD on both models is speedy and helps the laptop feel very responsive.
I have been using the Razer Blade 15 laptop for several weeks now and I am really impressed with it so far. The battery life is amazing and so far I haven’t experienced any slowdown with demanding tasks. There are some downsides though, such as its heavy weight that may be too cumbersome for some users.
Speaking of the ergonomics , this laptop is not bad to look at either. It has a thin, sleek body that is surprisingly lightweight and easy to carry. With a weight of 4 pounds and an overall thickness at 18mm, it’s hard to find a thicker gaming laptop in this price range. For those who are worried about portability and battery life, worry no more! The battery lasts longer on light usage.
In sound quality there was no distortion whatsoever when I played music or played games with high levels of sound effects. I found myself turning down the volume so as not to hurt my ears because of how loud it was.
Despite its attractive looks and powerful performance, this laptop still falls short in one important area: the keyboard.
Keyboard and Touchpad
I’ve been using the Razer Blade for a few weeks now, and I am really happy with it. The keyboard is really comfortable to use and offers plenty of feedback. The touchpad is also a lot better than I thought it would be. It’s not quite as sensitive as I’d like, but it’s still better than most laptop touchpads I’ve used in the past. The only real downside here is that there are no dedicated mouse buttons. You have to click on the lower right hand corner of the pad for a left-click and the upper left-hand corner for a right-click.
The first thing to note about the Razer Blade is that it’s not a gaming laptop. It’s a gaming tablet, meaning the screen detaches from the keyboard and can be used on its own. The battery life isn’t going to be what you would expect if it were an ordinary laptop. But considering this is designed for gamers who are likely going to want to plug in their laptops anyway. This isn’t too much of a downside. All in all, the battery life will last 3-4 hours when gaming on full brightness. With WiFi enabled and around 5-6 hours when browsing websites.
The new Razer Blade is a top-tier gaming laptop that offers a ton of power in a sleek, compact package. The display is fantastic and the keyboard is one of the best in the industry. The hefty price tag, however, will likely make this an unattractive option for gamers on a budget. Still, if you want to take your experience to the next level, the Razer Blade 15 is worth it. If you are looking for a powerful but portable device, then the Razer Blade might be perfect for you.
